More about Wade Nilsson
Wade Nilsson is a successful choreographer and dancer working at Dancing Rainbow, a leading dance studio in the United States. He has been dancing for over 20 years and has performed in numerous shows across the country.
Growing up in Los Angeles, Wade started his career as a dancer at the age of 15, when he joined his high school’s dance team. After graduating high school, he continued to pursue his passion for dance by attending the California Institute of Arts where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Dance. Upon graduating from college, Wade moved to New York City to further develop his craft and take advantage of the city’s rich theatre scene.
In New York, Wade established himself as a highly sought-after choreographer having worked with some of Broadway’s biggest productions such as ‘Cats’ and ‘The Lion King’. As well as performing on stage himself, Wade also taught classes at various dance studios around the city. After several years in NYC, Wade decided it was time to return home to Los Angeles where he now teaches classes at Dancing Rainbow.
At Dancing Rainbow, Wade is known for his creativity and enthusiasm when it comes to teaching students ages 3 through adult how to move gracefully and express themselves through movement. His workshops combine elements of jazz, hip hop and ballet with an emphasis on musicality and improvisation. He is committed to helping each student reach their highest potential while fostering a sense of community within the studio walls.
